The Abierto de la Ciudad de Rosario is one of Argentina's most historic and prestigious amateur golf tournaments, established in 1937. It is currently organized by the Federación de Golf del Sur del Litoral and played at three different courses: Jockey Club de Rosario, Rosario Golf Club, and Club S. y D. Bartolomé Mitre de Pérez. The tournament consists of three rounds of stroke play, with each round played on a different course. Around 450 competitors participate annually, making it one of the largest amateur events in the country. Players qualify based on official handicaps and membership in regional golf clubs or federations. The event is usually held during the August long weekend and includes multiple categories. It carries significant prestige in Argentina's amateur golf calendar due to its history and competitive field.
