Description

The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women's Golf Championship is a 54-hole stroke play tournament typically held over three days, such as from April 14 to April 16, at premier golf courses like the Wigwam Golf Club Gold Course. Each team consists of five players, with the lowest four scores counting toward the team total each round. The championship crowns both individual and team winners and provides an automatic bid to the NCAA regional tournament for the team champion. The format usually features either two 18-hole rounds on the first day and one on the second day or three consecutive 18-hole rounds, depending on scheduling and weather. Ties for the team title are settled by NCAA tie-breaking procedures, including sudden-death playoffs if necessary. The event follows the USGA and NCAA rules strictly
