Description

The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Women's Golf Championship is a 54-hole stroke play event usually held over three days. Each participating school fields a team of five players, with the four lowest scores per round counting toward the team's total. The tournament crowns both individual and team champions. The format consists of either two 18-hole rounds on the first day and one 18-hole round on the second day or three consecutive 18-hole rounds depending on scheduling and weather conditions. In case of ties, team playoffs follow NCAA sudden-death playoff procedures, while individual ties are resolved with sudden-death playoffs as well. The SWAC Championship is played on 18-hole courses selected by the hosting institution and follows NCAA and USGA rules strictly. Proper golf attire is mandated during play.
